MYGLAM: Glam Bag April

So this is the first post I am writing for My Glam even though I have been with them for 3 months now. My Glam is a monthly subscription service that provides you with 4-5 deluxe size beauty samples or full size beauty products. You also get a different cute little bag each month. It cost $10 a month and has free shipping. If you have heard of Birchbox then this will seem familiar to you. I heard about this through Andrea’s Choice on You Tube. I absolutely love her channel. If you have not seen her videos you should check them out. She is hilarious. Anyways she had announced that her and some other You Tube beauty guru’s were going to be involved in this new subscription service. I was excited when she showed some of the things you might receive. I tried to join immediately but it was already full. In fact I was not able to join for the first two months because there were so many people joining. The first two bags were incredible with a lot of great full size products.

My first bag was the valentines bag which was much less than impressive. The girls from My Glam got a lot of negative feedback from this and when the March bag was equally as bad if not worse I was tempted to cancel. The samples had become so small that you would assume they were the ones companies give away for free. It was very disappointing.

I decided to stick it out one more month though and I am so glad I did. This month we received an awesome bag that I decided was completely worth sharing on my blog.

April’s bag came with a metallic pink bag that is super cute. The first product we received was All-Belle false lashes. From what I can tell from other people’s You Tube videos we did receive different styles. My lashes were very long but very natural. I love them. I don’ t really wear the really dramatic ones so these were perfect for me.

The next thing we received was the Dermstore Lip Quench. This product claims to moisturize and smooth your lips, making them appear fuller. I have to admit my first impression of this stuff was not great. I honestly hate the smell of it. It may just be me but I almost did not use it. After wearing this product for about a week now though I can honestly say I love it. I put this one right when I start doing my makeup or right before I go to bed at night. It really does make your lips feel amazing. The smell has stopped bothering me now. It is a pretty thick product and appears to have a tiny bit of a pink shade to it but your lips just look shiny when you apply it. It is not sticky at all and  seems to stay on forever.

Next we received two My Glam brushes which actually go with one of the things we received in the March bag. In March we received a pink My Glam brush travel case and a fluffy blending brush. The case is not great but the brush was pretty good. This month we received two more brushes. There was an eyeshadow brush and an angle brush. They both seem to be pretty good quality and are very soft. I love that they are pink and black. The just look super cute. I am assuming My Glam will be providing a whole brush set which I am very excited about.

Lastly we received an Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil. I was super exited for this and was actually hoping I would receive a black one. Instead I received Ransom which is a beautiful purple shade. This stuff is amazing. It really does glide on your lids very easily. I actually love this color. I have brown eyes and I think purple is a great shade for my eyes. My favorite thing about this liner is how long-lasting it is. Once it is on you for a minute this stuff is not easy to wipe off. I hate makeup that runs down my face and this stuff definitely stays right where you put it.

So basically I think My Glam like any subscription service is going to have some crappy months but also its worthwhile months. I will be staying subscribed after this month. They are also a very new company so you cannot expect things to be perfect from the start. I believe they are working hard to make My Glam great and I completely support them.
